A couple of cards using Dragonfly & Moonlight fonts

I really love the 4x8 fonts, why?.....
.....because they are just the perfect size for cards!

(PLUS they are currently on sale for only $19.99!)

I used the Moonlight alphabet for this 'LOVE' card. This is a gatefold card, which I have secured together with delicate organza ribbons on both sides. The Label is REV-0197

Here is a baby girl card using the Carriage REV-0107,

Buttons RS-0139 and the Dragonfly alphabet.

I decorated the card by drawing on some faux stitching.
This is a great way to embellish a card
and it doesn't even require a needle and thread!

Just draw a row of lines to create the 'thread', then dot each end of the lines with a darker coloured pen
to create the little 'sewing holes'

4x8 fonts - what an awesome invention!

I love the 4x8 alpha format. If you've been on the fence about these, this week is a great time to get them while they are on sale!

I used the Supermarket alpha for this layout (along with Blossom mini). I love its size - great for titles on full page layouts as well as being small enough for cards, and it's versatile enough to be used for any subject!

Dragonfly alpha used here for "little bird". Olivia would cry every time she saw a camera. Funny baby! Other dies used on this page are the tree border, 4x4 birds, square, and Diesel classic alpha.

One of Gracie's many cookies pages. :) Chemistry alphabet, cookies, mixing spoon, timer, rolling pin, recipe card and speech bubble.

Another fun 4x8 alphabet {oh, who am I kidding!? Every alphabet is fun!!! LOL} is Aquarius. A substantial enough size to hold its weight on a full sized 12x12 layout, yet small enough to work on cards as well. I also used the splat, raindrops, and wave border dies for this water page.

A Walk Down Memorie Lane...

You have probably all seen these here before, but this is my little Walk Down Memory Lane.... Here are some of the reasons I LOVE my 4x8 QK Alphabets!

1. These guys are small enough to fit nicely on a card
2. They guys are still big enough to have an impact on a full page layout
3. I only have to grab for ONE die
4. I can cut an entire word at once, the entire alphabet or simply a single letter on a single rotation of my Revolution
5. They are the most economical alphabet available on the die cutting market, even at full price!
6. Because of their size, they are always easy to find, even on MY messy desk!

If you haven't gotten your hands on these incredibly versatile dies, you must! The price is always right, but especially now that you can pick them up for a song here on Scrapbuggy. Stay tuned for some more ideas from our Design Team using these great 4x8 QK Alphabets!

more fun with Zelda!

I wasn't sure I'd love it, but I think Zelda is just plain FUN!

On my first layout, I paired it with the confetti border die for a whimsical look to go along with my roller-coaster photo:
I used it on this 8x8 layout, along with Moxie skinnimini and nesting circles:
On this one, along with Moonlight for the title. The ice-cream cone is made from nesting circles, nesting triangle (from the Merry & Bright set), and the 2x2 cherry die.
I used elements from the alphabet to create flowers for this card:
(I used both the upper and lowercase O's and the number 0, along with the parenthesis for the stems)
And I paired it with the Chicken Noodle font and the wave borders on this last layout:
